Portland CIVIC Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for reviewing progress toward goals and objectives, ensuring that our Strategic Plan continues to be relevant and aligned with the priorities of partners to produce research to improve the health and healthcare of Veterans, and providing guidance on potential changes to operations. The Steering Committee advises CIVIC leadership on overcoming unanticipated obstacles, capitalizing on new opportunities, and facilitating dissemination of research products and communications among CIVIC investigators and VA leadership. CIVIC’s Steering Committee includes representatives from each of our operational partners’ offices, our academic affiliate (OHSU), research content and implementation experts, VA Portland Health Care System ACOS for R&D, VA Portland Health Care System Chief of Staff, and a recently deployed Veteran who is also a manager in the VA Portland Health Care System Mental Health Division.
